Holly Holm is Scheduled for Rousey Rematch in 2016

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has chosen a date and a place for Holly Holm to have a rematch with Ronda Rousey, according to USA Today Sports. It is scheduled for July 9th, 2016 in Las Vegas.

However, the rematch has not been confirmed by either contestant yet as both Rousey and Holm will have to agree that the date would work for both of them. Fans have been waiting a long time to see if Rousey will respond to the first loss of her career. Holm took Rousey out during the second round in a match in Australia on November 14th of this year. This was the battle for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Women’s title for the bantamweight division.

Lenny Fresquez, Holm’s manager doesn’t think that nine months would not be a long enough time for her to be ready for the rematch.

Holm has said that she would like to fight sooner than that and she thinks she would be ready to battle again against Rousey. The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s President, Dana White, would like Holm’s next fight to be against Rousey.

The rematch is one that many people are eagerly looking forward to, including the two fighters, and maybe it will be in July of 2016.
