Ryan Miller: the legendary Ice Hockey Goaltender

Ryan Dean Miller is a professional goaltender of ice hockey from the United States. He was born in 1980. His most recent team is Vancouver Canucks of the NHL (National Hockey League).  His former teams were Buffalo Sabres and St. Louis Blues in the NHL. He originally started as a forward in ice hockey. However, later he turned on to goaltending. His style of goaltending is hybrid and his catches are left. He had been coached by his father, Dean Miller in his youth.

Miller had been playing ice hockey since he was in school. He was also a part of the Ice Hockey team from his college; Michigan State University for his tenure of four years as a goalie.  He had long run for the Buffalo Sabres from 2002 to 2014, when he was traded to St. Louis Blues. He was a free agent who was unrestricted in July 2014 when he signed a contract with the Vancouver Canucks. In his ice hockey goaltending career, he won the Vezina Trophy for the best goaltender in the league.

He also has an Olympics silver medal in his kitty, which he won 2010 Winter Olympics. This win made his position permanent in the team again for 2014 Winter Olympics. He has the record of winning 300 matches in the NHL History. For this terrific performance, he has gained his position amongst the 30 goaltenders. He is also known for his philanthropy. He has founded Steadfast Foundation, which supports the cancer patients, as well as their families.
